At the conclusion of the seminar-workshop «Planning and Financing, Accounting and Reporting, Personnel and Salaries, Property Relations in Higher Education Institutions» at 91Ƶ, a working meeting took place between the University’s Rector, Nataliia Shakhovska, and the Head of the State Audit Service of Ukraine, Alla Basalaeva.
The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department of Control in the Field of Education, Science, Sports and Information, Olha Polishchuk, Head of the Western Office of the State Audit Service, Roman Kroliak, and representatives of Lviv Polytechnic – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality of Education Iryna Khomyshyn, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Development Mykola Lohoida, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Infrastructure Management Ihor Helzhynskyi, and Chief Accountant Vasyl Lemishovskyi.
The parties discussed the key points raised by the representative of the State Audit Service during the workshop, focusing in particular on financial planning, internal control, and risk management in the operations of higher 91Ƶ. Considerable attention was given to the new requirements for control procedures, recent changes in state financial oversight, and the growing emphasis on a preventive approach to auditing.
In addition, the parties discussed potential directions for further cooperation between the State Audit Service and Lviv Polytechnic, including the organization of joint educational initiatives, expert involvement in the learning process, and the development of competencies in the field of state audit.
An important topic of discussion was the role of the State Audit Service as the National Controller of EU funds. Alla Basalaeva emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the use of European funding, as well as the increase in opportunities for universities to participate in programs supported by the European Union.
