There are 37 thousand Polytechnicians! Book by book, we will build the largest book bridge in the world. Bring a book – and become part of Ukraine’s presence on the global stage. Let’s start with Poland!

The International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, together with Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, and the Scientific and Technical Library of the University, are holding a book donation campaign «Lviv Polytechnic – to Ukrainians in Poland: we give books – we build bridges». The event will last until 15 September, 2025.

The campaign is being held at the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland and Lviv Polytechnic.

The main idea of the event is to help the millions of Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homeland stay connected to their roots, preserve their link with their native land, and avoid feeling lost in a foreign country. Despite the difficult times and challenges Ukraine faces today, this initiative demonstrates our strength, compassion and unwavering readiness to support our people wherever they are.

At the centre of the event is the book: it is the living thing that keeps our Ukrainian identity alive. It is the wisdom of the ages and a vision of the future. By passing on books, we are passing on the strength of our native land to our compatriots. With this campaign, we are opening a new page in our interaction with the Ukrainian community abroad. Through books – to understanding, through words – to unity!
