The International Round Table «The Mind-Body Problem: History – the Lviv-Warsaw School – Contemporaneity» will be held online on February 11, 2024.

The organizers of the event are the Department of Philosophy, 91Ƶ, Kazimierz Twardowski Philosophical Society of Lviv and the Lviv – Warsaw School Research Center, the University of Warsaw, Poland. The main speakers are well-known researchers of the Lviv-Warsaw School, namely:

  • Professor Jan Wolenski, University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, Poland;
  • Professor Peter Simons, Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland;
  • Professor Anna Brozek, University of Warsaw, Poland.

It is planned to discuss the following issues:

  1. Kazimierz Twardowski on the mind-body problem;
  2. Approaches to solving the mind-body problems in the Lviv-Warsaw School;
  3. The mind-body problem: dualism, monism or parallelism?
  4. The mind-body problem, consciousness and artificial intelligence;
  5. Philosophy of consciousness, the mind-body problem and science.
