An online training dedicated to the upcoming Horizon Europe competition – Twinning Call 2026 will be held within the framework of the HELIOS project (Research and Innovation Strategy for 91Ƶ dedicated to white organic lighting systems).
The HELIOS project is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Widening program. This project with a budget of 1.5 million euros was selected during the 2023 competition. Now the Project Office of Lviv Polytechnic seeks to share its successful experience, as in 2026 the EC plans to finance more than 200 Twinning projects (deadline for application submission is 9 April, 2026). The Twinning competition is open to proposals in any field of research, provided that they are of high quality and relevance. This is a great opportunity for research teams to integrate into the European research area.
The training will take place on the Zoom platform at 16:00 on 15 December 2025. The event will be hosted by Giles Brandon, Intelligentsia Consultants. Giles has extensive experience in project management and grant writing training. His company has won over 10 Twinning projects, including the HELIOS project. Four Twinning projects implemented with his support received an «exceptional» rating in the European Commission’s final reports.
During the online event, which will last approximately 1.5–2 hours, the speaker will address the following issues:
- Analysis of the competition requirements: how to correctly understand the Twinning competition text, including specific conditions, expected results and scope.
- Preparation of the application: how to structure the Twinning Network and the proposal itself (parts A and B) for success.
- Internal competition: how to participate in the selection, according to the results of which up to three proposals from Lviv Polytechnic will receive individual support and expert support.
- Question and answer session.
The link to join will be sent to registered participants on the day of the event.
will last until 14 December inclusive.
