The event «Formula for Success: Science + Business» was held at 91Ƶ, bringing together over 40 Ukrainian researchers and business representatives. The goal of the event is to strengthen cooperation between the scientific community and entrepreneurs, as well as support innovative projects that can be scaled up in Ukraine and beyond.
In his opening remarks, Hryhorii Mozolevych, Director General of the Directorate for Science Development at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of business involvement in scientific innovation. He noted that a key factor in the effectiveness of state investment in science is the direct interest of business in research outcomes and their further development. Accordingly, the event provided participants with an opportunity to establish partnerships and collaborate on new projects.
Iryna Yaremchuk, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at 91Ƶ, emphasized the importance of such an event: «Although the matchmaking format has not yet become widespread in Ukraine, I am very glad that such events dedicated to an extremely important topic for the country, such as cooperation between science and business, are already being held in Ukraine».
During the event, participants had the opportunity to network and interactively discuss the needs, initiatives, competencies, and barriers in science-business cooperation in Ukraine, laying the foundation for further development of recommendations on this topic.
The «Formula for Success: Science + Business» event proved that it is such meetings that accelerate the emergence of applied solutions – from medical innovations to smart agricultural technologies – and open the way to European funding and scaling up of Ukrainian projects.
