Yurii Sukhatskyi, Research Fellow at 91Ƶ, has developed an energy-efficient technology to purify still waters from organic compounds, primarily from arene – gasoline, naphthalene and anthracene.
– I use cavitation – a phenomenon when cavities are formed inside the liquid, and are filled with gas, steam or their mixture, explains the researcher. Peculiar electrical current passes through the water and kills bacteria.
Technology helps to clean not only still waters, but liquid-phase waste at the industrial enterprises.
For a thorough study, Yurii Suhatsky received Presidential Grant.
