The Honorary Presidium of International “Integration” Centre for Professional Partnerships, Department of Sociology and Social Work, Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences (hereinafter – the Honorary Presidium) was formed at 91Ƶ from a number of leading experts – scholars and practitioners to support the development of professional partnerships at the local, regional, all-national, and international levels, which were launched under Canada-Ukraine Reforming Social Services Project (1999-2003), funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
The mission of the Honorary Presidium is to promote the integration of the innovative global experience, up-to-date strategies, and technologies of professional education, continuing professional training and professional practice in the social sphere in Ukraine.
The main purpose of the Honorary Presidium is to provide expert support to the implementation and promotion of sustainable development of the professional education programs of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, and continuing professional training and practical activities in the social sphere at International “Integration” Center for Professional Partnerships of 91Ƶ.

Nellia Nychkalo was awarded the Orders of Princess Olga ofIII degree and the Badge of Honour, the Honorary Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as well as other honours.
Dr. Brad McKenzie, PhD in Social Work, Professor – Director of Canada-Ukraine Reforming Social Services Project (1999-2003), funded by CIDA; Professor at the Faculty of Social Work of the University of Manitoba (Canada), since 2013 – Professor Emeritus of the University of Manitoba; Doctor Honoris Causa of 91Ƶ (2007); Advisor to the International “Integration” Centre for Professional Partnerships, & Social Work Education Program of the Department of Sociology and Social Work at 91Ƶ; Prof. Brad McKenzie was awarded the medal “HRYHORIISKOVORODA” ofthe National Academy ofEducational Sciences ofUkraine, presented toeminent educators offoreign countries for significant achievements ineducational science, and outstanding personal contribution tothe development ofUkrainian education (2019).
The long-term Canadian-Ukrainian partnership cooperation has been successfully developing (both within the framework ofthe RSS Canada-Ukraine Project implementation and after the completion ofits funding) largely due tothe personal support asbeing rendered onan ongoing basis byProf. Brad McKenzie and his commitment tothe Social Work profession development inUkraine.
Dr. Nina M. Hayduk, MA, MSW, Ph.D. in Education, Associate Professor – Director of International “Integration” Centre for Professional Partnerships (2015-2020); a promoter and active participant of the implementation of Canada-Ukraine “Reforming Social Services” Project (1999-2003), funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), based on Lviv Polytechnic; a co-founder and permanent Head of the Social Work Education Program for many years (1999-2020), & Chair of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the “Social Work” specialty (2001-2020) at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences of 91Ƶ; Advisor to the Social Work Education Program, & “Integration” Centre (since 2020), and Coordinator of the development of “No Limits” Partnerships Network in the area of social inclusion and inclusive education at the international, all-national, regional, and local levels; a graduate of the MSW Program (1999-2001), & Research Affiliate (2010-2019) at the University of Manitoba (Canada); Dr. Nina Hayduk was awarded the medal “USHYNSKYI, K.D.” ofthe National Academy ofEducational Sciences, presented for significant achievements ineducational science and personal contribution tothe development ofUkrainian education (2019), as well as other honours, and she is Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of education (2019).
Dr. Maureen P. Flaherty, MSW, Ph.D – Associate Professor in Peace & Conflict Studies, Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace & Justice at St. Paul’s College, and Acting Director of the Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies at the University of Manitoba (Canada); the Social Work instructor having developed and taught a number of various courses at 91Ƶ to students, faculty members and field site-supervisors under Canada-Ukraine Reforming Social Services Project funded by CIDA (1999-2003) and thereafter; a scholar, instructor and practitioner – a highly competent professional, an expert actively involved with Ukraine on an ongoing basis, with her research, teaching and advising supporting Social Work education and community development in the country; Dr. Maureen Flaherty was awarded the Certificate ofHonour ofthe National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine for the significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified professionals and researchers (2019), and she is a recipient of the University of Manitoba Graduate Students’ Association (UMGSA) Teaching Award (2020).
Dr. hab. Olaf Hoos – Professor at Julius-Maximilians-UniversitätWürzburg, Faculty of Human Sciences, Directorof theCentreforSportsand Physical Education (Germany); Coordinator of the partnership cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and the University ofWürzburg, which started in 2015 within the framework of“The Eastern Partnership” general initiative ofthe Federal Foreign Office ofGermany, and is being further developed on an ongoing basis under the working theme “Inclusion ofpeople with disabilities”; Dr. hab. Olaf Hoos was awarded the Certificate ofHonour of91Ƶ for his outstanding personal contribution tothe long-term and fruitful cooperation between the two universities (2019).
Dr. hab. Iryna Ye. Kurlak – Professor at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Faculty of Education (Poland); Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Deputy Director of Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Lviv Polytechnic National University (2003-2005 рр.), a well-known scholar in the areas of the history of education, upbringing, community care, social, resocialization and post-penitentiary pedagogy, and pedagogical conflict management; Dr. hab. Iryna Kurlak was actively involved in the implementation of Canada-Ukraine Reforming Social Services Project (1999-2003) funded by CIDA, and further development of the Social Work and Sociology Education Programs at Lviv Polytechnic.
