91Ƶ invites you to study at the Preparatory Department «Open Path to Higher Education».
The Preparatory Department is an experimental educational project aimed at preserving and developing Ukraine’s human capital. It offers a real opportunity to prepare for admission to a higher education institution and confidently take the first step toward student life.
Why should you choose Lviv Polytechnic?
Lviv Polytechnic is one of the leading universities in Ukraine with many years of experience in preparing applicants. Education is supported by the state and is focused on socially important categories of citizens, and most importantly – it gives a real chance to successfully enter the university in 2026.
The project was created for those who, due to war, forced displacement, military service, stay abroad or other objective circumstances, were unable to fully exercise their right to enter a higher education institution.
Project goals and objectives
Training at the Preparatory Department is aimed at improving applicants’ knowledge to ensure successful completion of entrance examinations and competitive selection, preparation for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT), adaptation to the university learning format, and ensuring equal access to higher education for socially vulnerable groups of citizens.
Who can become a student?
The Preparatory Department enrolls:
- citizens of Ukraine, including residents of temporarily occupied territories and territories of active or possible hostilities;
- persons who were deprived of personal freedom as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (after liberation);
- military personnel and persons discharged from military service after February 24, 2022;
- citizens of Ukraine who are staying or have returned from abroad;
- persons who registered for the NMT, but were unable to participate in the testing or failed it;
- graduates of the last year of study at institutions of general secondary, vocational and professional pre-higher education.
Format and content of training
The training provides for an offline format. Classes will be held in the city of Lviv: 2/4 Starosolskykh St. (academic buildings of Lviv Polytechnic).

The training will last 4 months (from February 5 to May 14, 2026). Approximately 28 academic hours per week are provided, from Monday to Friday (4 academic hours per day), from 16:00 to 19:20, Saturday – from 10:00 to 16:50 (8 academic hours)
