The HEI DISCO project team from 91Ƶ took part in the DISCO Innovation Lab held in Lucerne, Switzerland. At the three-day workshop our University was represented by Olena Pozniakova, Nazar Podolchak, Oleh Sokol and Roman Nebesnyi.
Partners from Krakow University of Economics, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, European Center for Women and Technology (ECWT) at Lucerne School of Business, Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture and the university’s startup agency SmartUp also joined the event.
During the meeting, colleagues from Switzerland shared their experience in the field of knowledge transfer and innovation (KIT), innovation and entrepreneurship programs (Smart-up), and innovative educational programs. Participants were shown the use of the Biotechnology Space Support Center (for the International Space Station (ISS) to teach science subjects to students. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Switzerland Innovation Park and see the institution’s modern developments.
Each of the partners presented successful cases of their institution, shared ideas about the development prospects of the joint project and had the opportunity to participate in a discussion about future cooperation, joint training and promotion of the entrepreneurship and innovation among students and non-academic environment.
91Ƶ is part of the consortium of partner organizations of the DISCO (Developing Innovative Sustainable Cooperation 91Ƶ) project, funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and aimed at strengthening the innovative potential of higher 91Ƶ through joint training and cooperation.
The project aims to promote the development of innovative and entrepreneurial skills through student training, consulting and mentoring support for startups and fast-growing companies, as well as structured development of innovative potential among employees of participating countries’ organizations.
At 91Ƶ, the project is implemented on the basis of the Tech StartUp School. The coordinator from the University is Nazar Podolchak, Head of the Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic.
