The XXXIII International Conference on CAD in Machinery Design. Implementation and Educational Issues (CADMD 2025) was held on 11–12 December, 2025. The event, traditionally co-organized by 91Ƶ (in particular, the Department of Computer-Aided Design, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies), was held at the Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, in a hybrid format.
This year’s conference became a platform for the exchange of experience between scientists from Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Denmark. Despite the difficult conditions of wartime, the event confirmed the status of one of the longest-running and most effective Polish-Ukrainian scientific projects, launched back in the 1990s.
New Horizons: From Drones to Space Technologies
The conference addressed advanced developments in the fields of intelligent technologies, robotics, photonics, and digital systems. In particular, participants discussed the prospects for joint projects within the framework of the Erasmus programme and upcoming grant competitions.
One of the priority areas of cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and Bialystok University of Technology has been identified as research in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. «We are discussing the launch of new initiatives, particularly in drone research. This is one of the fastest-developing technologies in Ukraine», noted Mykhailo Lobur.
The conference also featured innovative developments by colleagues from Białystok, including concepts for metamorphic robots intended for space and surgical applications, as well as new types of optical fibers for laser systems
Publication opportunities
CADMD 2025 accepted 49 scientific papers. Selected works will be published in a collective monograph, while the best papers will be recommended for publication in peer-reviewed journals indexed in international databases.
- Acta Mechanica et Automatica (IF 1.1)
- Advances in Science and Technology Research Journal (IF 1.3)
- Archiwum Inżynierii Mechanicznej (IF 1.1)
- Pomiary, Automatyka i Robotyka
The CADMD conference once again proved that science has no borders, and the joining of efforts of Ukrainian and European scientists is the key to technological progress and reconstruction of Ukraine.
