Ten students from Romania, who took part inthe International Summer School ofUkrainian Studies “Step toUkraine” with the assistance ofthe Union ofthe Ukrainians ofRomania (UUR), received the relevant certificates.

With the financial support ofthe Union ofthe Ukrainians ofRomania, from 13to26July 2020, ten students, who study the Ukrainian language and literature atthe Universities ofBucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Suceava, Romania, took part inthe International Summer School ofUkrainian Studies “Step toUkraine” (because ofthe coronavirus pandemic— online), organized bythe International Institute ofEducation, Culture and Diaspora Relations (IECDR), 91Ƶ, Ukraine.
The IECDR handed over virtual certificates tostudents and the originals had already been sent tothe UUR. Thus, the award ceremony will beorganized bythe leadership ofthe UUR.
Itisreported that during the two weeks ofstudy, students from Romania together with students from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Poland listened toanintensive course inUkrainian asaforeign language, had daily conversations with native speakers and discussion clubs with celebrities, aswell asgot acquaintance with Ukrainian culture— from folklore tocontemporary art.
The solemn closing ofthe XIII International Summer School ofUkrainian Studies “Step toUkraine” took place online. Irina Liuba Horvat, Secretary General ofthe UUR conveyed congratulations onbehalf ofNicolae-Miroslav Petrețchi, President ofthe UUR, and introduced aspects ofUkrainian schooling inRomania and expressed her gratitude toIECDR for its fruitful cooperation.
Iryna Kliuchkovska, Director ofthe International Institute ofEducation, Culture and Diaspora Relations (IECDR), inaletter addressed tothe President ofthe UUR, noted: “Weappreciate your assistance inteaching agroup ofRomanian students atour Summer School, which proves your active position and activity”.
